The Nextek NB5353/2R is a direct current T-8 48 Volt (DC) fluorescent electronic ballast designed to fit in standard fluorescent lighting fixtures and operates one or two 17Watt and/or one or two 32Watt T8 fluorescent lamp(s). The compact, high efficiency, and low power electronic ON/OFF control of the durable, high performance NB5353/2R (T-8) make it a desirable component for all fluorescent lighting applications.

Low Power Switching:

The NB5353/2R 48 VDC T-8 fluorescent lighting ballast features an optically isolated electronic ON/OFF control that requires only a minimal signal current. This unique feature enables remote switching without the power losses usually incurred by the wires that connect the switches to the lighting circuit.

A high level of architectural flexibility and lighting control are practical options with the NB5353/2R. Lighted areas can be turned ON and OFF remotely with low signal cable, avoiding line voltage switches and electromechanical contactors. The NB5353/2R is exceptionally compatible with remote functions desirable for energy conservation, such as occupancy sensing and programmable controllers. This feature allows for easy remote switching and interfacing with occupancy sensors such as the Sensor Switch DT2-54-R-S-53VDC and CM-6-R-NPS.

In addition, when lighting requirements change, low power switching allows lighting schemes to be altered without the need for expensive materials and labor usually required for power circuit retrofits.

48 VDC rapid start fluorescent light ballast designed to operate two F54 T5HO (High Output) fluorescent lamps. It features optically isolated electronic ON/OFF control via the standard low voltage RJ11 modular cable. When the inside two wires (red/green) of the RJ11 connector are shorted, the light goes on. When they’re opened, the light goes off. This feature allows for easy remote switching and interfacing with occupancy sensors such as the Sensor Switch DT2-54-R-S-53VDC and CM-6-R-NPS.
